What exactly is the standing charge?

A flat $50 / month for platform access, the app, the API, keys, webhooks, review tools and team seats. It’s separate from usage, and your first month is free.

What happens after the free month?

The $50 / month standing charge begins. You add funds and pay per word only for what you actually translate, you’re never charged for translations you don’t run.

How does per-word pricing work?

Each job is charged per 1,000 source words at the point it runs, at a rate that depends on the quality tier (Draft $0.0937, Standard $0.3225, Pro $0.6450), with a small per-job minimum (Draft $0.02, Standard $0.03, Pro $0.04). You see the estimate before you submit, and you’re billed for actual usage.

What if my balance runs out?

Jobs pause rather than overspend. Top up to resume, nothing runs without funds behind it.

Can I be invoiced monthly instead?

Yes, regular or heavier users can request a metered (credit) account billed monthly against an agreed limit, instead of a prepaid balance.

Do I need a credit card to explore?

No, you can browse the app and run a cost preview freely. A card starts your free month when you’re ready to translate.
